I didn't get to attend the Thanksgiving play put on by our homeschool group, but from watching the video it looked like everything went great, and Millie had lots of fun.
I thought Millie's costume turned out pretty good considering I don't know how to sew (yet!). The dress she's wearing is actually a sleeveless dress she wore as the flower girl in my younger brother's wedding a year ago. I got a long-sleeved black shirt for her to wear underneath, then just used white felt to make the collar, cuffs, apron and bonnet. Sew-on snaps and safety pins helped keep everything in place. I was glad in this instance that I could compensate for my lack of skill with a bit of ingenuity.
