We discovered our first ripe cherry tomatoes tonight in the garden. What a thrill! The weather here finally got hot this week, which seems to be just what the tomatoes were needing. And I say "discovered" because right now the garden really is something of a jungle, with the produce all hidden under the giant leaves of all the squash. It takes some searching to figure out what's growing in there.
So Tom and Millie ate the first cherry tomatoes. We snacked on the peas that are still producing, and Silas was eager for carrots so we pulled up a couple of carrots as well. It's such a satisfying feeling to eat straight from the garden.
